the lone fourth period goal to the Bears with 3:22 remaining.

Sunday as the visiting Michigan State Spartans (22-12, 5-4 Big Ten)

Ill. - Indiana Baseball lost its first series of the Big Ten season on
Sunday, dropping the rubber match to Illinois, 11-6. The Hoosiers are

20-plus win season for head coach Barry King and the Hoosiers and the
13th in 15 seasons.

Innings, One Win for IU at San Diego

DIEGO, Calif. - Indiana Baseball picked up a hard-fought, 11-inning
victory over San Diego (14-5) on Wednesday. There were four lead
changes and four tied scores in the see-saw battle. Sophomore reliever
Matt Dearden closed the door for IU, allowing just one hit over the
final three innings of the ballgame.

Heads to Wisconsin for Big Ten Road Opener

Ind. - Hitting the road for the first time in Big Ten play, the Indiana
football team (1-5, 0-2 Big Ten) faces No. 4 Wisconsin (5-0, 1-0 Big
Ten) at Camp Randall Stadium (80,123) on Saturday, Oct. 15. Kickoff is
set for 11 a.m. CDT/noon EDT and ESPN2 will broadcast the game.
IU is facing its third straight Leaders Division opponent. The Badgers
swept through their non-conference slate and kicked off league play
with a 48-17 victory over No. 8 Nebraska on Oct. 1. UW has won eight
consecutive Big Ten games and 12 straight regular season
contests.

Dickerson Corrals All-American Honors Once Again
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The
American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) recognized Indiana's Alex
Dickerson as an All-American this week, placing him on the
second team. It marks Dickerson's second All-America accolade, earning
first team honors following the 2010 season.
Indiana head coach Tracy Smith has now guided at least one Hoosier to
All-America status in four consecutive years. Josh Phegley did so in
2008 and 2009, Eric Arnett in 2009 and Dickerson the past two seasons.
Earlier this month, the Poway, Calif., native was drafted by the
Pittsburgh Pirates with the first pick of the third
round.

2011-12 Recruiting Class Ranked 23rd Nationally
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. ‐ Head Wrestling Coach Duane Goldman and his staff
have bolstered the 2011‐12
roster, bringing in eight wrestlers for the 23rd‐ranked class according
to Intermat's national rankings. The group has wrestlers from five
different states, including four native Hoosiers from the state of
Indiana. The collective group owns a combined four state championships
and 10 state place finishes. The Open Mat, another highly‐regarded
amateur wrestling publication, also tabbed the newest Hoosiers as a
top‐25 class.

Earns All‐Star Honors as Hoosier Trio Competes in Canadian Senior

WINNIPEG, MB, Canada – Three members of the Indiana Hoosiers women’s
water polo team participated in the 2011 Canadian Senior National Club
Championships on May 27‐29 at the Pan Am Pool in Winnipeg, MB.
Jakie Köhli and Meghan Lappan competed for the Pacific Storm, while
Shae Fournier played for the Winnipeg Bushido club team.
