Martinez Selected For 50th NWCA All-Star Classic Isaiah
Martinez has been selected to represent the University of Illinois at
the 50th annual NWCA All-Star Classic for the first time since former
Illini Jesse Delgado (125), BJ Futrell (141), and Jordan Blanton (174)
all competed at the event in 2012. Martinez will compete in the dual
meet format on November 1, 2015 in Atlanta, Georgia against Virginia
Tech’s Nick Brascetta. Fighting Illini Breeze Past SDSU In
a contest that saw just one tie in its entirety, No. 7 Illinois handily
took care of the South Dakota State Jackrabbits in the first match of
the day at the Shocker Volleyball Classic. The Fighting Illini improved

one of 11 players added to the Chuck Bednarik Award Watch List, the
Maxwell Football Club announced today. The Bednarik Award has been
presented to the nation's top defensive player since 1995.
