Purdue Adds QB Robert Gregory to Recruiting Class

LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue head coach Danny Hope announced that Robert
Gregory has signed to play for the Boilermakers. The 6-foot-3,
205-pound dual-threat quarterback from Simeon High School in Chicago
inked his National Letter of Intent on Wednesday, but delayed
announcing his decision until Friday with his high school classmates. He
is rated as a three-star prospect and the No. 14 dual-threat
quarterback in the nation by Rivals.com and as the No. 9 combo-passer
in the nation by analyst Tom Lemming. As a senior at
Simeon, Gregory completed 64 of 97 passes for 1,506 yards and 28
touchdowns, while also rushing for 919 yards and 15 scores. He ran for
63 yards and a pair of touchdowns on merely two carries in a game
against Morgan Park High School and gained 124 yards with two
touchdowns in the 2011 public league title game against Harper High
School.
