Purdue Adds QB Robert Gregory to Recruiting Class

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue head coach Danny Hope announced that Robert Gregory has signed to play for the Boilermakers. The 6-foot-3, 205-pound dual-threat quarterback from Simeon High School in Chicago inked his National Letter of Intent on Wednesday, but delayed announcing his decision until Friday with his high school classmates.

He is rated as a three-star prospect and the No. 14 dual-threat quarterback in the nation by Rivals.com and as the No. 9 combo-passer in the nation by analyst Tom Lemming.

As a senior at Simeon, Gregory completed 64 of 97 passes for 1,506 yards and 28 touchdowns, while also rushing for 919 yards and 15 scores. He ran for 63 yards and a pair of touchdowns on merely two carries in a game against Morgan Park High School and gained 124 yards with two touchdowns in the 2011 public league title game against Harper High School.
