IUVB Opens Practice for the 2017 Season
The Indiana volleyball team opened practice for the 2017 season on Tuesday at University Gym.
"We asked them for a lot of effort and enthusiasm and they were ready to go," IU head coach Sherry Dunbar-Kruzan said.
"I thought it was a really solid practice. We are not going to see massive standouts right now. What we want to see is consistent, good practice with a lot of good effort and coachability. I thought we had that today."
The day started with a session in the weight room at 8:00 a.m. and practice started at University Gym at 9:45 a.m.
Senior Jessica Leish said she has experienced a range of emotions going into her last year.
"Our first practice was great," Leish said. "It was so nice to be in an organized practice. We did some really fun drills and I'm excited for practice moving forward with this team."
The Hoosiers will host their annual Cream and Crimson Scrimmage on Aug. 19 and their home opener is Aug. 25.
